ARCI Brussels and Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra invite you to a discussion to help understand, contextualize, and discuss the events happening the past month in Palestine and Israel.
We aim to move beyond the widespread divisive narratives and create an opportunity for dialogue, learning, and exchange with experts on the topic.
We emphasize the call for land, life, and freedom for two peoples and two states. For Gaza, for Palestine, for Israel, for the Middle East, and for the entire world.
To this end, thanks to the contributions of Maha Abdallah - Human rights and international law expert, University of Antwerp, we will delve into the origins of the escalation we are witnessing, and acquire some tools to better understand the recent dramatic events. We will explore the prospects for the future of the Middle East and the role of Western civil society in the process towards a just and necessary peace.
