The ‘six degrees of separation’ theory is a familiar one by now : it only takes a certain number of acquaintances to discover a chain of mutual connection with anybody in the world. The number six may be an arbitrary one, but it’s certain that today we’re more interconnected than ever. Human connection, however, is never a neutral experience. Encounters with other people affect us - some more than others - and sometimes change us. Degrees of Separation takes an acerbic and irreverent look at how we all affect and shape each other – whether we like it or not.
